Yeah what about having a tool for virus creation allowing you to create worms, viruses, nukes which can effect the companies servers. or other hackers.

Hacking into other users accounts, stealing their data, emails and downloading trojans into their accounts. (Ingame only. Duh!)

Just a few suggestions.

If you want any info regarding hacking methods, hacking progs etc send me an email.

It's based on the Uplink GUI.

Yes, as you will see if you look in the original post, users will be able to write their own programs. Hcking into other users' gateways is possible but very difficult.

project x in php

Postby xigudun » Fri Mar 11, 2005 3:53 pm

I loved this game when it first came out and since completing it I have been eagerly awaiting an online version. I own and run an internet solutions company and would be more than happy to help with any php/mysql/javascript features and can even offer free hosting for the site if you like.

Hey! I trust in YOU. If you make this game....

There was lots of projects, to make an online hack game (Dark Signs Online for example) that was never done, or the work stopped and maybe in future...

I believe in you!

Onlink != Uplink Online.
They aren't the same. At all. Ever.

I lost the will to play games like this years ago, so you'r about 2 1/2 years too late to capture me, heh.

You're like the second or third person to make the mistake.
I'm just curious why anyone thinks Onlink is related to this.

That is pretty obvious Flamekebab, ONlink such as in ONline-uplink..
No wonder so much people confuse this

You people have strange minds to make that connection..
Surely it'd be called something like "netlink" if that was the case..
The fact that none of the Onlink material refers to the net, at all, ever, has nothing to do with the fact that it's blatently another "uplink online" thing (there's been huge numbers of these things..).

Well, yeah, apart from it being, like, a game where you're a hacker using the net to connect to your gateway, downloading programs from the net and recieving missions throught an internet company, before connecting to the target systems through the net and doing nasty netty things to them.

Plus the word "net" a couple more times just to labour the point.

Net.

I can help with the music and probably with writing, although I would like more information about what would be needed. I might be able to help with sound too but I'm somewhat limited there.

Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

I know someone with an internet cafe who's looking to pick up some extra games for people to play so if this gets out any time soon I'll tell him about it. If there's any possibility of anyone playing it (and I'll very likely be one of them) he should be interested.
