OK I noticed on uplink there are no women agents which i think is a bit sexest and in the academic database and criminal records I noticed there are no women. I dunno f people can take legal action I dun care I am not a girl I am a guy but I think it would be nice to see both sexes acctually in the game! it would make me happy and the ladies!

That may be changed when the DevCD comes out, but it was done like that to simplify the code.  :)

Actually, there are some mods which replace the photographs of people in the game. (See the sites that are mentioned under "Uplink Fansites" in the "Links" section on the Introversion site.)

I don't know if peoples' names can also be changed, but I think the names of companies can.

But like Stewsburntmonkey said, when the Developer CD comes out, adding a "female/male/neutral" attribute to game objects would be a good idea. (You'd need this to keep the news messages from saying "he" when that particular person is female ;) )

The reason there is only men is that the list of names randomly connects surnames with last names and then with pictures, so it wouldn't really work. It could turn out to be the cross-dressing Andrew Boughtflower with his new breast implants ;)

I think you mean first names and last names, since surnames are last names :)

Maybe if they could code it this way that it first picks random sex, than according to that result do a 2nd random pick out of a list of names...

This shouldn't be too hard to code!! When is the source to be released?
