I think it would be good if you could integrate your real life Email server and Internet browser into Uplink, that way you can play uplink and not actaully be completely disconnected from the real internet. (They already have an IRC client so why not?)

i think security would be an issue if you made uplink into a browser

Well, maybe if when you accessed your browser from in game, a sort of frame would open your computers actual browser, as opposed to having one built into uplink. Its just a thought.

Oh no, please don't hack me!

But really, I very much doubt you know how do anything but download and use a program somebody else has written, let alone find and code your own root exploit.

Itd be good to have more console stuff, and have more shortcut keys so u dont need to use the mouse as much

a good addon would also be a program that uses the map thats start a route at NIC thru every computer in your list exept one you choose (the computer you want to hack), save alot of time, if u know what i mean

Please don't dig up old threads. That's a perfectly good idea ( albeit an old one, that's been mentioned many times before ), but it's far better to post in a newer thread than to resuscitate a dead one.

Thumbs up for coding own files and progs...
Nothing is like planting a programme on a server, then remotely give it a triggering command...
Or make progs that can delete the logs automatically, shouldn't be easy however, batch style or C++ style coding, then I am talking EASY C++.
Okay scrap the C, I can and I understand C++ so I guess that is just me.

But I want that Dev CD soon, need to save up the cash, looks like I got a lot of coding to do.

It's doubtful Uplink in it's current form is sufficiently complex to be worth writing a scripting language for.

Yeh just like u said Helpmann, wed better get rid of all of our password crackers, server crashers, and our own programs for hacking... Good thing i dont use progs except for the ones i make

The FBI cant bust u for having those programs on ur computer... They can only bust u if u have been caught using them in an illegal way. Also if u had the files from the game on ur computer they wouldnt be real hacking programs DUH!!! IM GONNA HACK UR A55!! (ROFL)
