How do I recover my old purchase account?

So ages ago I purchased Defcon and Uplink, but the website no longer has login available. Is there a way I can reclaim my purchases from like 8 years ago?

So Defcon should've come with a game code, so I'd suggest to scour your emails for it, or maybe any backups from that time period? Iv'e checked for mine, they all came from registration at introversion.co.uk - subject of "Introversion Key Registration". There's the metaserver that handles this stuff, but I can't remember my login details, so can't help you past that
As for Uplink? I mean, short of finding your original CD of it, maybe some kind of purchase email?
What kind of proof you got going?
