Clearly you don't know what it's for if you are making a topic like this.
Sucks to be you. I will give you a hint though. Another Book.

Uplink help: Read the FAQ
Thanks. But one more question: Why does Uplink try to checksum world.dat? Does that change to #define pirated switch (or whatever) to on? Why does it even have that switch? FULL_GAME, DEMO_GAME, and TEST_GAME, all of them I understand. But why have a pirated switch? So pirates will go "Let's be honorable and define the Pirate switch on this build. La la la la!" They'd have to be listening to the key file for Book 2 over and over again for hours to do that.
To recap:
1. Worst. Music. Ever
2. Key
3. Anti-pirate?
Well, I back to coding.
(P.S. NeoThermal, never mind. She got the disk second hand, so she doesn't have to shipping code. Explains the case, though.)

Oh, my! You are about to be in a world of hurt! He is probably going to change your nick to Zander.
What? Why would he change my disk to Zander? Come to think of it, I think I know what you're referencing now. "She" refers to my girlfriend. I'm telling NeoThermal that my girlfriend purchased to Dev CD from some guy off the street instead of the Online Store, and that would explain why she always puts them in jewel cases. Usually, she writes the serial number on the back, but she didn't get the shipping number.
If that's not what you're referring to, then what are referring to? All you quoted was "NeoThermal", so initially I thought I was in trouble for saying his name. @_@
Anyway, see ya later.
