looking for updates to take 1.3x - 1.55

is there any help out there?

No such patch exists. Ambrosia does not own the source code for the Mac version, and the company that originally did the port (and owns the code) no longer exists. The latest rumour is that the Onlink team have been working on an update, and that they are waiting for permission from IV/ASW/Contraband/whomever to release the new material. However, at this point, I wouldn't hold my breath. There is a relevant topic on the ASW boards.

The guy who was Contraband, who did the port, is no longer a guy. And she now works at EA.
