Bug? Weird...Game reloads if I die.

Ok, my problem is that whenever I die the message from Uplink says that I have been caught and they've disavowed me, and the one button on the page leads back to the main menu. When I log in to the same user again, it appears at the last point I logged in before I died. This may seem like a godsend, but it's annoying when I find out that my user can't do the plot because I started it with an old version, then updated. I want to kill it off and start over, but I can't. It means I can't see my "scorecard", as such, and also that I can't <Spolier>Meet the Makers</Spoiler>.
I tried a search, but I didn't find anything relevant. If this bug has been identified before, I'm sorry, I'm a really crap searcher.

No, I don't think it's been reported before.

But all kind of strange things are happening when playing an agent created in versions older than 1.31.

If you start a new agent, try to do it in the latest patch.

Ok thanks. This is a good opportunity to experience bank hacking without it being "cheating", so I'll add up the cost of everything I have on my old user and steal exactly that much money.
