Two Fatal Errors (Uplink OS)

I have found two cases where actions by the player can consistently cause crashes, with a pop-up with the following message:
"A Fatal Error occured [sic] in Uplink.
Please report this on the Uplink forums at http://www.introversion.co.uk/
Uplink will now shut down."
Of note, I am currently running both Uplink OS and a custom Gateway.
The way to trigger the first case is by attempting to attach a file to an email that is out of the bounds of the number of files the Gateway has in memory. (That is, if one has files 0 and 1, deletes 1 and attaches 0, everything occurs as expected. Attempting to delete 0 and then attach 0 results in 1 being attached. Attempting to delete 0 and/or 1 and then attaching 1 (or 0 if both were deleted) results in a crash.)
The way to trigger the second case is by deleting an incoming email the instant it arrives, in my case by holding down the delete key with my cursor over the top slot in my inbox. Note that this may be due to the tested emails involving balance changes, as the tested types were mission completion messages and monthly deduction messages.
