iPad 4th gen - No Sound or Music!

Hi,
I bought Uplink for iPad a couple of days ago (Sep 2013) and noticed there is not a single sound or music to be heard on
my 4th gen iPad.
I have tried toggling the options on and off, quitting the app (not just backgrounding it) and also rebooting the ipad.
Every other app has sounds etc. just not Uplink.
Also I am running iOS 6.1.3
