missing steam.dll

hey everybody,iv been having problems with my copy of uplink that i got via steam,it keeps giving me "steam.dll is missing or cannot be found,reinstalling this application may help" iv reinstalled six times now,none of them work,what do i do?

obviously you need to run it from Steam if you bought it from Steam...

if you're still having problems, close Steam completely (so it doesn't appear in the system tray), then delete Steam.dll, then launch Steam.exe again.
