IPAD - Adding Gateways

Is the code still in the IPad Uplink to look for the text and graphic files for new gateways? I use ifunbox to manage the file system, (don't have to jailbreak or anything). Uplink does not seem to look for the files/directories however. Did you remove it for Ipad?
