MOUSE ISN'T CLICKING!

Hey
I just installed the game and have accessed the 'About Us' screen. But when I go to click 'OK' the mouse moves, but when I click, the game isn't recognising it. If I press Enter it allows me to move onto the next screen 'About Us/Register As An Agent' but then I'm in the same position.
No problems in other games or around rest of computer - purely in Uplink.
It's a boxed copy, and I'm running Windows Vista.
Please help!!! I've been after this game for ages and I just got it for my birthday!!!!
