Can't Install in Vista64

I came across my old Uplink CD the other day and decided to give it another whirl - except I cannot install at all.
It's an original Introversion CD and I'm using Vista 64bit.
The setup.exe file just doesn't do anything, although if I look in task manager I can see it sitting there doing nothing.
I've tried all the compatibility modes and running as admin but it's made no difference.
Anyone help please?
