Introversion

Ok after almost 2 days of messing around to get Uplink to work on Linux I get this whole new problem. I start playing the game, get awhile into it and the screen pops up telling me its a demo and I cant go any farther????????? I have the CD version of the full game and have had it for years!!!! Now i'm not some noob with a torrent version or a Demo trying to be cheap and get a patch....but WTF I have no idea how to fix this or what the problem is! Has anyone had this issue or knows how to fix it? I cant even imagine trying to reinstall this thing!
