Hi
I have a very odd and rather fatal problem with my copy of Uplink which was bundled with Defcon:
Every time the game is started, it can no longer ba alt-tabbed out of. The game will continue to run perfectly fine then, when I exit the game, it completely resets my PC.
I.E, It reboots it, like it pressed the reset button. It does this every time the game is played.

I run Windows 32bit on an AMD Phenom II X2 550 BE processor [3.1GHz], with 4Gb of RAM.
Graphics card - Factory OCed ATI Sapphire Radeon 4870 [Vapor] with 1Gb onboard RAM.

I've never encountered this kind of error before, so any help would be kindly apprieciated.

Windows version?

If Windows _reset_, there is some problems with your drivers, hardware or Windows.

First thing I'll try is to update your video driver with the latest from Sapphire and if it doesn't solve it, the latest from ATI (AMD).

You could also uncheck for the option in Windows to 'Automatically restart' Windows when there is a crash, this way you can get the stop code and try to figure out what is the issue.

If you could right click on 'My Computer', and select Properties, then select the Advanced tab, and where it says 'Startup and Recovery', click 'settings'.

There'll be a box that says 'System failure', and in that, a checkbox labled 'Automatically restart'. If you uncheck that box, and click Ok, Apply and then OK, you'll be ready

Now grab a pen and some paper. Start Uplink. Play for as long as you can before the system crashes. If you get a blue screen, record down the STOP reason and it's code

Next take that STOP reason and go to TROUBLESHOOTING WINDOWS STOP MESSAGES
