Introversion

I clicked on the character I used, and it tells me to _buy_the_game_ even though this is the copy I just purchased and downloaded from Introversion.

I have the Linux version, using Ubuntu 9.04. The demo worked 'fine' (aside from some configuration issues).

Is this going to happen again if I make a new character? Why can't I use my old one anyways? I guess is becasue there must have been some settings in ~/.uplink. But that would be a really horrible place to store that kind of info.

I deleted the agent I used in the demo, and created a new one. While it seems to be OK, it's still a shame that you can't continue your progress from the demo. It _is_ saved in the same folder (that the full game will use) in the user's home directory. Regardless, gave me a little bit of a scare.
