The library is bigger than my other library file (libsdl1.2.0) located in my /usr/lib/ directory so I think that it is newer!

But renamed my uplink libsdl in order to make the other (/usr/lib) working with no effect, and I tried to replace my original lib by the uplink lib wich is bigger in my /usr/lib but with no effects.

I'll be happy the day I'll found the solution! :P

I still not found a solution.

I think it is more an library issue than a software or hardware issue.

Can anyone there put his/her version of the lib*.so who launch fine the game?

2 solution in order to remove it:

1) If you install it in your home directory such as "/home/<yourLoginName>/blablabla/Uplink you just have to delete the Uplink directory

OR

2) If you install it with root account you have to make a "sudo rm" of your Uplink directory (ie: in /usr/games or something like this)

Do you mean that if you reboot your computer, Uplink will show correctly once?

If yes, there is most probably something wrong with your graphic sub-system.

Could you post your system specs?

Hi finally sell my Thinkpad T22 and bought an X31 one. Pretty neat but pretty extrem solution!

Now it's working. I assumme that it was an hardware bug.

Keep it this way IV! :)
