I recently have bought a copy of uplink off my friend. I put the disc in my disc drive and a message came up saying "C:/Windows/System32/Autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application". I run Windows Xp Home and I got my computer about 2 and a quarter of a year ago. My friends game is about 7 or 6 years old I'm not sure. I'm guessing it may be too old and if it is is there anyway I can fix it? Thanks.

Uplink is not too old. It runs perfectly fine on Windows XP.
Instead of relying on the auto-run/auto-execute feature (since that seems to be the issue) have you tried browsing the CD and manually starting the setup.exe or copying the CD contents to your hard drive?

I guess you should have said so in the first post, but I guess you feared we wouldn't help you because it's indeed a computer problem.
A search on google for 'C:/Windows/System32/Autoexec.nt' gives for the very first result a solution to your problem.
