CD key

Where can i find my CD key...??? i didn't buy a boxed copy but downloaded it from the site after purchase,
i then downloaded the version 1.31 patch and now when i try and make a new account it asks me for a code from row T, column 12

so i thought i should probably wait for a boxed copy to arrive as it listed my order as shipped, but now in my order information it says this,

Products
1 x Uplink (PC Win & Linux)
- Product form: Download Only

so any solutions...??

Normally you should be downloading version 1.53 from the store.

(the version should be written on the bottom right corner of the log in screen if the version is higher than 1.31).

I think the introversion site needs updating. It still advertises v1.31 as being the latest patch and states that it is compatible with any version of Uplink.

It also refers to "our next game" Darwinia, the 'forum' link on the front page links to ikonboards/ikonboards.html, and, in the 'order online' option accessed through 'ordering info', it provides info about sending a money-order, without direct reference to the online store. The news page has a "Take the Uplink Survey" link which does nothing for me.
Most of the resellers in the FAQ no longer sell the game, and the page also links to the order info page.
The FAQ still contains info on the Bonus Disk, which as far as I know is no longer being made. It also has very complimentary info on "Hacker Elite".
It probably needs a brush-up.

Yeah, I already told John about it, but I think IV prefer to spend their time on more fun/producing things.

If all that needs to be done is change a few strings or basic html then I would gladly volunteer to update the site. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one willing to do so

What normally happens for those who purchase download only? Is the code-card available digitally, posted to them, or otherwise not required?

Could you also post your debug.log found in Uplink/users directory.



Normally, Uplink downloaded from the store don't ask for any code. (Even when normal patches are applied over it)

I'm using Version 1.51, i can't get the debug log right now though as i'm at a different computer than normal.....but i'll try and get it tommorow, and no it didn't ask for a code, only when i installed a patch. the version 1.31 if i'm running version 1.51 is there any need for the 1.31 patch...???

Not at all,

1.5x superseed 1.31

Normally, with the latest patch available on the store (aka 1.53), you should be able to install patch 1.54 without having to enter any code when creating a new agent.

Okay all thanks for your help! i still haven't found the code but thats my problem solved, i've also backed up all files just in case something happens when installing the latest patch.
