GRAPHICS ERROR

Postby dingir » Thu Oct 19, 2006 12:50 pm

I just bought a copy of the full version of uplink, for some reason when I am logged into a server, eg the first one in the tutorial the names next to the menu buttons dissapear after I move the mouse??? however this did not occur when I was running the demo version.

Does any one know how to fix this problem?

Update your video card drivers.

The graphic library changed from GLUT to SDL between the demo and the current versions.

What are your computer specs? (CPU, RAM, video card, sound card, anything else you thing might be relevant). And what is your OS? (ex: Windows XP Home SP2)

Im currently running it on an Acer aspire laptop.

MOBILE AMD SEMPRON(TM) Processor 3000+
1.58 Ghz, 640mb Ram

sis M760gx graphics.

I think I have the latest graphics drivers but I will try again.
if that doesnt fix it is there something else I can try, none of the game options like running in safe mode etc help.

Thanks.

You can try to put opengl32.dll file in your Uplink directory, it'll slow down Uplink (since the rendering will be in software) but at least you should be able to play.
