I just barely finish a mission and when I try to send a reply e-mail, the game crashes due to a fatal error. I re-installed a few times, and got back to the ratings i had and it's still doing it. Can anyone help me?

It is a CD that has the game source code (and has nothing to do with the problem). You may have a corrupt user file. I you keep getting these kinds of errors try starting a new user (you can delete the usr file in the Uplink/users directory to use the same agent name again). :)

So you mean the cd in the uplink box I bought at the store? Well I tried that, becoming a new user with that name, but the same thing happened at about the same point.

No the DevCD is something different, you don't need to worry about it. I would recommend getting the latest patch (1.31) from this website, but that disables the cheats. ;)

well, i went to the patches section and it said there were no patches for the game.

It is generally left up to user to figure that out for themself. Plus we cannot give away spoilers on the boards. No to mention you've already figured out everything I know about the cheats. :)
