Cannot get Full Screen

I cannot get to the full screen mode.  If I maximize my window, i can't control my mouse, coz I can see two mouse arrows.  I tried to change it in the options screen in the game and it stiil comes back unchecked after the the game is started again.  I have tried the shortcut method too but none has worked.  I would love to play in the full screen more, pls Help !!!

Turn off software mouse.

There's some command line arguments you can use. They are described in the readme.txt file in your Uplink directory, e.g. "+graphics_fullscreen" or "+graphics_softwaremouse".

I once played a game on MS-Windows which also had the problem of displaying two mouse cursors (hard- and softwarecursor). After switching out of the game, and then back into the game (with the Alt+Tab key), one of those cursors disappeared and I could play... Don't know if that works with Uplink, though, I'm playing the Linux version ;-)
