Its a shame such an interesting game is plagued with so MANY bugs.  I've re-installed and started new agents more times than I can count.   I could live with the non-critical bugs.  I don't mind the corrupt text from running and closing several programs.  I can stand being thrown out of the game occasionally, but having to start from scratch time after time is unforgivable.  Below are the bugs (and a header) from my current debug.log.  I didn't keep the logs from my previous agents.  I'm TRYING to play on a windows 2000 box.

He's got 1.31, those are fairly normal errors.  I might suggest backing up your user so you don't have to restart each time.  :)

why don't you try uninstalling the game completely, then re-install it, not just the agents? funny you should encounter such problems on windows 2000, that's actually the environment uplink was created in. mine is also 2K, and i've never had it.

don't forget to delete the uplink folder from Program Files after uninstalling to completely remove it before reinstalling. then the upgrade patch. lastly don't reuse any backed up user files, create from scratch. if the problem persists post it here.
