Uplink install failure

My attempts to install Uplink under Windows XP have failed. Running setup.exe causes the CD-ROM drive to spin up...and spin-down. And that's about it.

Hardware is a Dell Inspiron 2600.

Any ideas?

Weird. Have you tried copying the installation folder to your harddisk and start the setup from there? Maybe your CD or drive is broken...

Found the problem.

Had to restart the computer. Then everything worked fine.

Stupid windows. Why can't it be Linux?

There's a linux version on the CD, too. Just look for a folder that says "Linux". ;)
