error please help

i have just downloaded uplink, when i attempt to run it i get the following error "a fatal error occured in uplink"

it says that i should send the error log file to chris@introvision.co.uk i would but there is no user folder? - im running windows xp would this be why?? anyone thanks in advance

Stew: does the patch work for the demo version? (It doesn't work on the Linux demo...)
Since andy912 said he downloaded it, I'd assume it's the demo version...

in case you weren't paying attention, kueddy, they were referring to the demo. the demo is free to download, it's the full game that's not. wahaha.

i told i saw a demo......wahahah..

yeah yeah, they were reffering to the demo only.

ok, andy,
maybe your download has missing some files or corrupted, or your system may have a problem or conflict with other optional hardware or maybe your must update your latest software driver or dirext X compatible...

or maybe you has start your storyline with wrong road.....you can send your debug files to this forum for trouble shooting...

now, the solution is in your mind..
