Full screen wont go down

Uplink is obsessed by full screen mode. when i deselect full screen, i am asked to restart Uplink. After Uplink closes, i open it back up again, and its still in full screen mode. The full screen box is checked too.
This only started after i installed the new patch.

640x480
Desktop Resolution:
1024x768

Nvidia GF4 MX 440/64mb Video RAM.

Try changing the arguements in the shortcut (right click on shortcut and select properties, then change the "+" to a "-" infront of the graphics_fullscreen option)
