The game wont save my progress, why?

i cant save my progress, what is wrong? and how can it be fixed?

First make sure none of the files in the Uplink users directory are readonly.  That can cause this to happen.  Another fix is to uninstall Uplink and delete the Uplink directory, then reinstall and patch.  :)

how do i know if its read only? and it might work if i reinstall the game?

You can see if it is readonly by right clicking on the file and choosing properties.  I would try reinstalling (make sure the Uplink folder is delete after you uninstall).  :)
