IRC wont work

Just getting a blank screen when I click connect.

I have a broadband connection & win Xp

Have done a search of the forums and cant find any other posts to do with this.

Please advise...

On ModLink there's a patch that patches the 1.31 .exe file and automagically changes the IRC server to the correct one. Granted you can do it yourself but, the patch helps.

The IRC client won't work with Win 9x or ME, only 2K and XP.... So if you are running Win9x or ME, it won't do anything, I'm afraid....

Because anyone using those OSs (95 isn't too bad) should be hauled out to the street and shot.  ;)

It was never intended as a major feature, just a novelty so Chris didn't spend much time on it.  :)

It's because of the way the client connects to the server, I believe it uses sockets which are only a feature of NT based OS's.  :)
