my voice analyser does not work when i try to talk into it

Oh...my...god, even when I first started Uplink I didn't think that was possible!  Don't you think that you'd need some kind of special voice equipment for it...geez, use your grey matter if you have any that is, and I'm seriously starting to doubt that.  The voice analyser is for getting into voice print protected systems eg:banks mainframes etc... you need to go to (company's  name)'s public server, add the admins phone to your links, disconnect, run the analyser, call him, keep the analyser open, goto the bank mainframe then click on Access Denied, then press play on the analyser. Simple.

Actually, the admin for the mainframe is not the admin for the bank. In order to get the admin's voice for the bank, you must connect to the bank, and click "About Us." That is the admin you need.
