when i close uplink with the exit button, the game makes this box on my screen and refuses to close. You can't move the box can't close. I have to reboot the game and go into windows again.
i have patch 1.3

What kind of box, any text in it. Also check the debug log (in the Uplink->users directory) and post the most recent entries. :)

No,there is no text, its a box with a little frame around it. But sometimes now the game just chrases into a blue screen. I have two comps both running win 98 and they both do it. My debog log just say things like saved playername etc nothing of any kind of crashes.
Can it be something about win 98?
