HELP!

Hi i've got uplink from and it wont run properly i've tryed reinstalling and i've got the latest graphics drivers and direct x 8.1 it says to refer to the forum

any solutions?

1)Install the lastest patch (1.31)

2)Try to delete/rename/move the opengl32.dll file in Uplink folder

ive tried the patch and it works better bus the softwaer mouse is under my mouse and follows behind it still
i'll try the thing with the file and get back to you

For the software mouse problem:

1) What is your video card?

2) Check in the Uplink options for "software mouse enable/disable".

i tried the file and it improved it but it still looks bad
i have a
(3dfx voodoo 3 tv in
(amd athlon 750 proccessor
(128 Ram
(20 gig hard disk

when i deactivate software mouse it stays on screen at the bottom

Check www.voodoofiles.com for your card drivers and www.glsetup.com for your opengl driver for your card.

HEY that gl file is 86mb thats going to take hours i cant get that is there any other way to get it?

For glsetup download the `GLSetup for the Web` it's 200k and will detect your graphic card and only download the needed driver.

For the "software mouse under the normal mouse" problem:
I recently played another game (not Uplink), where I had the same error (two mouse cursors). I discovered by chance that when I switched to the windows desktop and back, the hardware mouse cursor vanished, and only the software mouse cursor remained.

So, you might try the following: Hit Alt+Tab to switch to the windows desktop, then hit Alt+Tab again (might have to hold down Alt and hit Tab several times to choose the correct program (Uplink)) to switch back to Uplink.
I don't know if that helps, never tried that with Uplink...

Overkill if you ask me. Maybe preparing for more hardware-intensive games that might come out in the future?
