The Many Ways to Ruin Lives

Okay, I'm aware of perhaps the simplest way to ruin someone's life: hack into the criminal database, give them a couple convictions, plus breaking parole, and have them arrested (and covering your tracks afterwards of course).
However, I'm curious how else you can make someone's life a 100 times harder than it would need to be.
