LAN Hacking. What am I doing wrong?

I've spoofed the Valid Subnet machine, disabled the lock but still can't get Connect to the Authentication Server. I click connect and nothing happens. Hopefully you can tell by the image I'm referring to the server down the bottom with the dotted lines around it.

Are you trying to connect straight to the locked system? If so the problem if I remember correctly is that the LAN route is a bit like a one way street, if you want to pick another route you need to hit "reset route" option I think it is called, it should be on the LAN screen, this will bring you back to the external modem you accessed but wont reset the subnet spoofing.

No, I'm trying to connect to the authentication server just above it. But the connect option appears to do nothing. I'll try what you said though and see if it works.

This isn't a mission or anything either. I got bored and went wondering. It's the ARC LAN.
