How to steal the money from uplink v1.54

I just wanna to know why i was caught so many times when i stolen the money from another account. Like i creat a account 1(a1), which is my account. I want to steal the money from account 2(a2). I transferred the money from a2 to a1. Deleted the log from a1 and a2. Disconnected from the bank. Connected to NIC, and delete the log on the server. However i was caught. I thought i was fast enough.

then i try to delete the log when i hack the administration and delete the log. However, i was caught by the bank, too. what the fuck. Who can help me

Just uhh, might wanna use the... button at the top under the title "Uplink" called "Search", eh?

Google often works just as well, if not better. The forum search routine is kind of dumb, and doesn't do much sorting by relevance. Using Google with the search term "site:forums.introversion.co.uk" often yields much better results.

I've lost the game trying to do this too, but I think I know why. Banks have a frighteningly quick passive trace, and it doesn't go through just the system logs. When I lost, the trace was so fast that I saw the game over screen while still trying to delete the system logs from the a2 bank!

Each bank account has transaction logs too. These are the logs you want to worry about first when stealing money. (Note: You don't need to bother with transaction logs when doing a money transfer mission.)

After you've finished the transfer from a2, delete the record of that transfer and that transfer ONLY from the transaction logs of the account. Then quickly log in the the a1 account on the other bank and delete its log of the transaction. Then delete the necessary system logs in each bank and InterNIC and wherever else you like clearing.

I haven't tried it this way myself yet; I'm too afraid to lose my progress. But I believe they (people who track you down) get you through the transfer logs quicker than through the system logs. And I might be brand new to these forums, but I've owned Uplink for several years and have just today survived through the entire storyline on the Arunmor side (including having to nuke my gateway right before the final mission). So I think I have enough experience to give some tips here an there.
