Does anyone know where Uplink keeps the save files?

Edit: I'm on windows

Also: If the motion sensor turns red are there any modifications that can be made to the save file to prevent being caught?

As far as save files go, if you are trying to save where you are in the game and restoring it when you get caught or kicked off. Copy both of the files that have your User name in them in your program files/uplink/User. Make another folder in the same directory called copies or whatever you want to call them, and paste your copied files in there. Once you do this, if you ever get caught, you can just copy these and paste them in your user file and overwrite the existing files. Good as new.
