When bouncing, the penultimate station you bounce through should be from the same company:

For example:

Gateway > InterNic > Uplink Int'l Bank > ARC Access Terminal > ARC Mainframe

I don't think you can.... however, try bouncing through another terminal by the same company, i.e.

ARC Public Access > ARC Access Terminal

Go back to the bounce before you hit the access terminal. Run log undeleter, the highest version, on the bounce log. It'll change. Go to where it then points.

It might have been changed. Try it.

Try this:

Uplink wrote:On the log that lead you to the access terminal:

Run Log_undeleter v.4 [or whichever's highest]

The log will probably change

Follow that IP instead

Wow. You managed to repeat what Rkiver said! Congratulations.

If what Rkiver suggested doesn't work, then you might be doing something incorrectly.

Well go back through EVERY bounce the hacker used and run the undeleter on each one. Eventually you will get to one that changes and sends you in the right direction.
