ok so you hacked into it, copied the file, saved it into one of your free slots....
Read the email which you was sent for the mission, click reply, and then just attach the 'data' file and press send

Perhaps it'd be good if you took a look at the tutorial... not only does it guide through the first mission, but it gives plenty of tips as well.

If you didn't delete it, it's not too late to run it. Simply go under the Software tab, and under "Other", you should see something that looks like "Tutorial v1.0" or something similar to that, anyway. Try to run it and do everything as it says, and it should give you a hell of a great start.
