I have heard that there is a program to make gateways for uplink, is this right? If so, can you please tell me the URL of where i can get hold of it from.

Not heard of one myself but they aren't that hard to do. All you need is a painting package, text editor (notepad will do nicely) and a bit of time. You ma want to have a look on the modlink site for a "how to" guide.

Dunno guys.
In my experience (Which is getting on a bit. lol.) the 'GUI' style Gateway creators are not that great, I've found that the gateways usually dont show up in game, or create (for want of a better word) 'buggy' gateways.
Could be just me, but as far as I can tell the best tactic just seems to be going about it the long way and using notepad and paint.
Bit of a hassle, but at least you can be assured that it's going to work.

Tell you what,
Give me another more recent thread that relates to 'Gateway Makers' and I'll happily re-type what I said before.
I thougt that other people who do a search for them (Gateway Makers) might go into that thread (and yes, the search engines do come up with it), and so therefore it makes the age irrelevant.
Better to have people learning Gateway modding the proper way and contributing decent gateways than getting a bunch of buggy gateways throughtout the net.
But that's just my opinion and if it offends you so greatly, I'll watch the dates.
