It says to create a TXT document with full paths, and rename it to a .ump3 file, which I did. I created a file called PLAYLIST.UMP3 containing the following text:
C:\Documents and Settings\XPARKER\My music\Track 1.mp3
C:\Documents and Settings\XPARKER\My music\Track 2.mp3
C:\Documents and Settings\XPARKER\My music\Track 3.mp3
C:\Documents and Settings\XPARKER\My music\Track 4.mp3
C:\Documents and Settings\XPARKER\My music\Track 5.mp3
I started from UMP3.EXE and all I got was the traditional Uplink theme. What am I doing wrong?
Ump3

You aren't, really. Just right-click on the shortut of Uplink and paste this text behind the path (the line that is behind brackets) :
-sound_musicenabled
Then it should look a bit like this :
"(Insery path to game exe here)" -sound_musicenabled
Note the space behind the last bracket.
Then start the game through that shortcut and you won't hear the original music anymore. Then, just start the game through uMP3, open your user file, and then click on the UMP3 icon next to your 'Bank Balance' button and the others. Then, load the music playlist into your game, ... And have fun!!!
