Introversion

Ok, I have been playing this game off and on for over a year now so im not a noob to it. However I recently started playing again and ran into a few problems.

1. On the ARC mission to frame Arun.'s CEO (for bank fraud) I do it just fine then read that he was arested, but not the "special" arrest, just says he was a hacker and denies he knows anything about comps blah blah, and then when I reply to the mission it says he wasnt framed =\

Any help with my  problem would be great, I havent got a chance to finish the game with ARC yet so I hope I can now.

1. Just hack a bank and use the log modifier to change your Ip to his at the 1st bounce point (i suggest internic)
2. Hm.. are you sure you are on the LAN? I never had that problem, sure you didnt delete it or something?

1. Did that, I only used like 2 or 3 bounces and no bypassers, just cracked the password on the bank and waited for the trace to get to 5 secs or less, then I changed the ip to his personal comp at Internic.

Still can't get it to work, ive tried about 4 times now with the same results...

Bad luck, I guess.

I've had this happen as well. Do the hack and mod the logs and watch the news. The guy gets arrested (the name is right) but the news simply credits him as "a high level uplink agent" and not "the CEO of arunmor".

I havent tried it again from a backup of the .USR file yet, but I expect the results are the same.

For what its worth, I accepted the counterpart mission from arunmor to frame the ceo of ARC. I took that mission to later abandon it so that it would not happen. I dont know why, but that might matter.

ok I figured it out, you have to reply to the mission right after you change the logs and not wait for the news, because they say they checked it themselves and the police are going to get an anonymous tip.
