So, I tracked down two hackers, and put 'em in the clink. After that, the dozen or so other missions of the same type wouldn't let me touch them. All the employers had left instructions that I wasn't to contact them. What's the deal? Those were good jobs, and I liked being a white hat. Why the stonewall?
Second, bank weirdness. I get two of those "esteemed colleague wants to make a donation" missions. Neither one of them works. I make the transfers, I clear out all the records, the employers essentially tell me to go piss up a rope. What's the deal? I have no idea what I could be missing here. Do they just expect me to extract my fee from the poor guy's account?

1) At me? Damn. Apparently, I don't cover my stuff up as well as I thought. There were like a dozen of those. I use the log del 4 everywhere I go, I zap everything but my open/close messages, and I always take the bounce out of InterNIC. What am I missing?
2) D'oh! The one time I wish I hadn't used log del 4...
Thanks.

Well, in the game I'm talking about there (no longer playing that one, sadly) the only mission I abandoned the entire time was one of those trace a hacker missions. The reason I abandoned it is that I had hacked the compromised server myself a long, long time ago, before I even had anything other than the file D&C and the PW cracker. The end result was that I couldn't figure out which trail I needed to follow, and got completely screwed up with the overlap. I think I may have even deleted the log left by the other hacker. I even thought I might've been the only person to hack that server, and it gave me the mission by mistake. But it wouldn't cut me off from all those missions if that's the only one I ever abandoned, would it?

No it would not...
And the company gives you a specific time the hack occured...
You'll have to trace this hack... And when you have hacked the server yourself, they would not have given the mission to you...
Don't think there are no other hackers active in the game
BTW: I abandoned a "Our collegue wants to make a donation"-mission, because I should transfer money from one of my own accounts... I was asked to transfer 207000 $ from my own account... F***ing companies!!!
