What do you mean what? I don't mean to be rude, but you guys are really full of yourselves! Do think that because you discovered the game in the beginning that someone else can't find it much later? Damn, people take a friggin' pms pill, pull out your tampons and lighten up. Honestly, who friggin' cares if the topic is DEAD to you, to others its a NEW topic. Exuse me if I just found the game and thought this forum could be as remotely friendly as other gaming forums.

If I've offended anyone, sorry, all I can say is karma is bitch...

Randy, you'll win that bet

n00b

The reason we are so bitchy is because its very annoying when people are two lazy to spend two minutes extra reading the faq/guide or using the search button. In fact, they'd probably get the answer faster that way, because they don't have to wait for replies

Well, now that discussion is re-opened, you could be a bit kinder to the n00bs. The Uplink community is small enough without you scaring the newcomers away.

I am kind to the n00bs. If someone looks for the answer first, before asking me, I'll always help them. I also post in teh 'Hi I'm new here' threads, and send IMs when I see the 'Uplinks Newest Member' thing

I personaly find it highly annoying when everyone jumps on a noob. Sure, its highly irritating when everone asks the same question over an over, but the majority take the hint if you point them to the FAQ/search button. No need to flame them out over it.

Of course, some of them do ask for it.

Dmodegirl, you have a point, and i agree with you. it really isn't bad to bump an old post, so long as there's continuity and purpose for doing so. if a newcomer sees it and thinks it totally relates to his or her problems, by all means, do so.

but you see, there are some newbies too who just make smartass remarks to the previous posts just to show he knows more than the others do (or pretends to), and there are some who doesn't seem to take a hint from the other posts they visit, when they're told to use the search button because, from my personal observation, the answer was already posted in a previous thread just one notch below, with the answer staring at their face, and they can't even see it.

i can personally tell you, the Search button is VERY very useful, if you use good judgement in the key words you use.

and btw, welcome to the forums, it's nice to know some other femmes are playing the game still (besides me).

Thank you, glad to a see a female that games period. lol! All my gf's think I'm a nerd because I'm into computers and like to play games other than those yahoo web games.

And as for using search feature, no prob here, my friends call me a search goddess. Not much I can't find using various search functions, legally that is... lol!
