how to get user out of jail

my user has been caught and went to jail is there anyway to allow the user to be used again, its getting to me that i keep getting caught after erasing the log files plz help

As a future reference, use the InterNIC as your first bounce and then do whatever you're going to do, and then go into the interNIC, and hack it -they don't trace, and the password never changes, go into the logs, and use the Log deleter version FOUR to delete all the logs EXCEPT the ones saying that you established a connection. It's going to look a bit suspicious if you logged on four times without logging off! Then, when you leave, it will leave a log saying that you closed the connection. This isn't foolproof, but it seems to be the safest way. Oh yeah, and bouce through some government systems - if they can't get into the system, they can't find the logs. Catch my drift? Heheh

if i was u i would bounce through the uplink test machine first as even if u do get caught then nothing will happen!!!

i thought of bouncing through the Uplink Test Machine 1st but it is actually much easier and better to do it through the InterNIC:
1. Password NEVER EVER changes
2. Never get traced
3. Always seems to be in a convenient place on the world map or in a cluttered area

There is one way that u can be traced down and not sent to jail: buy the gateway that has the radio in it, it says u cannot be caught with it. IT IS TRUE!!!
So with this u won't have to worry. But my advice is to backup all the user logs in the game and eventually when u r stuck, simply reload!

I bought the gatway with the radio and I STILL GOT CAUGHT. It's pissing me off. I even repaid my debts and invested a bunch in the stock market, in the company that I did a mission for.

And you mean if you delete all the logs on the Internic mahcine, they will still catch you?

make sure you delete all the logs except for the one that says you connected.  dont forget the one for the admin login.

i use internic, when i complete a mision, i enter into tha admin of internic and clear all MY logs, except the recently onnection establishied.

this way never go to jail.

All you have to do is route it through a phone line. They can't trace that!

Your user doesn't go to jail, he is just disavowed.  You can't restore the file because as soon as you are caught the file changes so that it only holds your final score, etc.  The radio gateway doesn't keep you from being caught.  And even if you make the test machine your first bounce, you will be caught unless you break the log chain.

You could also just modifiy the log files so that it points to somewhere else that you never have been to and there is no logs.

Heres what i do, I always delete ALL of the logs from Internic because even though it would say that u logged off of the machine, nobody will get suspicious and nothing will happen. I have been doing this through the whole game which i finished once.

 Not quite sure about two things:

1)  I think you can get traced even if you use a phone to bounce your connection thru.  This isn't a phone really; it's meant to be a modem with a phone attached.  There are still logs, I do believe, that you can't get to.

2)  If you delete the logs saying you connected as well as the admin connection, accessed console, or other events, things look suspicious and you are still traced thru the connection closed log event.  If you do this, be sure to go back and clear that last log, because I have been caught this way (that's what I was doing in the beginning of my Uplink playing).
