Bought the game, have some questions

I got the steam edition; I'm confused, there's no way to save your gameplay and I noticed the game is a little flaky on win8 sometimes it'll freeze up and then eventually CTD

its a really basic game; what should go wrong? LOL

I'd ignore the CTDs some if I could actually make savegames but since there doesn't seem to be a way... why play? its CTD'd twice now.

Remember, this game was released in 2001 (2006 on Steam) and may not work as intended on newer operating systems.

It plays well on Windows 7 for me, so try running the game in compatibility mode?

Also, I believe the game saves whenever you logout / quit normally (the X on the top left corner of the screen in-game).
