Text cut off - Graphical Problem

Hello,
I am off the Humble-Bundle storm. Currently I am experiencing some problems with the text in the game: It tends to be cut off. A little illustration:
Fiddling the screen-resolution, going from full-screen to windowed and generally searching around did not change this problem. Since I can't really read the tutorial, this makes this game pretty unplayable at this point. Which is a shame, since I always wanted to be part of the Hacker-elite
Currently I am using Scientific Linux 6 with a Gnome 2.28.2 environment.
