PROBLEMS WITH FONTS!!!

I'm from Russia and i have russian fonts on my computer installeted, but in game i can see only english symbols, and instead of russian symbols i have somethin' like "Øèðîêàÿ ýëåêòðèôèêàöèÿ þæíûõ ãóáåðíèé äàñò ìîùíûé òîë÷îê ïîäú¸ìó ñåëüñêîãî õîçÿéñòâà" HELP ME PLEASE IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM!!!

That looks a lot less like "PROBLEMS WITH FONTS!!!" and more like "Something couldn't handle UTF-8 and decided to spit out a load of shit instead".

The game gave me my Friend, It's ver. 1.54, updated to 1.55

Just a guess but...

Company and personal names aren't hardcoded into the binary like most of the in-game text, they get generated on the creation of an agent based on name files. I'm guessing that the Russian version had modified the names files to contain Russian text and then modified the Uplink font to support a Cyrillic alphabet. By upgrading Uplink you've reverted the hardcoded text to English, undone any cyrillic support, and the Russian names that got generated when you created that agent remained resulting in names that map to accented Latin characters . Have you created a new agent since upgrading?
