Introversion

Hey, I was think about buying Uplink cos i think it is an awesome game from what i've seen. I looked on the
introversion store and found i could buy it for £10...

However, when i looked on steam both darwinia and uplink could be bought for £5.99, and to buy them both in a package is 5.99!? Buy one, get one free?!

I was just a bit confused about the pricing...

Welcome to Steam. Pricing there doesn't always make sense. If you can get it cheaper there and don't mind the restrictions (Only works in Windows, need to have Steam running to play, can't sell the game once you're done), go for it.

Do mods work with the steam version?

No, they don't. Then again they don't work with version 1.55 either. But with the DevCD you can update them.

So, mods wont work whether i buy it from IV or from steam?

what about for darwinia?

Honestly I cannot say for Darwinia.

However the mods that don't work, they can be made to work with the IV version. They will NEVER work with the steam version.

Ok, well, thank you for your help. I will stop by the Darwinia forum to ask whether they work there.

I've got Uplink on Steam and I can use mods on it. The only trouble I'm having is with the FBI mod. For some reason, the glut32.dll library is missing.
