Hi all,
I have an Uplink Version 1.31 from 2006, that I want to install on EEE PC.
When I start I get
./uplink: line 44: __*a number*__ Segmentation fault $here/lib/uplink.bin.x86 "$@"
I installed the patch 1.55, I downloaded and installed an actual Uplink Version 1.54 - I always get the same error.
After searching some forums I added some libs to the system (libglut, libstdc, libgtk, ..and more) - this also did not help. The experiments with screenwidt and screendepth did also not succeed.
At least I had the idea to get the demo, extracted and installed it and
IT WORKED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM
The Standard Xandros system of the EEE is almost unchanged, the repositories I use are adviced from an EEE site.
The fact that the demo is working tells me that hardware and OS are applicable, so
HOW CAN I MAKE THE FULL VERSION START ?
Can someone help me ? Thx in advance.

The demo installation file is uplink-demo-1.54,sh.
The error message (1.31 or 1.54, patched or not) is like this:

Thank you Culex, that is the point.

The game now uses the system lib.
The problem above starting with ./uplink/uplink depended on the console window. A console opened with the filebrowser at easy mode or the consoles at advanced desktop mode are ok.
Thank you all
