hi

i've read the readme file, but i'm using suse 10.2 and can't find a way of running uplink, i've tried opening it in yast, but no joy

i didn't try using the terminal before but here it is

Two things:

First, you're using an outdated version of uplink - you might want to install the 1.54 patch before playing, as it fixes a LOT of bugs/annoyances. (and if you start playing with your current version, which looks to be 1.32 or earlier, you might need to start over when you do update)

Second, if you really want to run that old version of uplink run the following command:

su -c "chmod a+x uplink"

in the uplink folder.
After that, uplink should work.

i runned the 1.54 patch and then did this

Also, try 1.55, error hanclding is better and gives more info on the console.
