Hey everyone!

My name is Hemlock and I first got into Uplink the summer of 2005 when I was living in a trailer in the middle of the country, of all places. I've always been interested in computers and hacking, but never felt that it was appropriate to do so in real life. Uplink presented an amazing opportunity to live out that fantasy.

Sadly, my computer crashed late 2005, and I couldn't find my reinstall software until now! So i'm going to get back into the addiction! I'm really happy (and shocked) to see that there is a messageboard dedicated to this game with recent posts! Great!

couple of n00b questions:
1) what are the essential patches/recommended mods to get for this game?

2) is Onlink finished/playable?

3) does this game have an "ending"?

1: The latest patch (1.31), FBI mod, Simply Uplink. Mods can be downloaded from www.modlink.net

2: It's currently in beta state. Clicky!

3: It does have an ending, but I don't want to spoil it.

4: Search the forums. I know it's in here somewhere (and I can't be arsed doing it myself.)

Does simply uplink have a mac version?

Due to licensing issues and such, Introversion havn't been able to release the source code for the Mac version of Uplink. Hence, no mods for the Mac version (other than cosmetic stuff like graphics, sounds etc)
